Everything good has its time, but even a good thing out of time can be bad. This is no secret. The time for rest has passed and the time to work has returned. "But I did not rest." And why was that? Were you unable to let yourself rest because you did not recognize the time? Or was it that you wasted leisure time as you would waste time before an unpleasant task? Or was it that you would not let yourself rest out of guilt for your earned idleness? Whatever the case, your failure has now left you ill prepared. The time for rest has passed–that cannot be changed–and it does not help to rest now. Your duty has shifted and it is now time to be the best at your job. Do not cry "foul" but learn that all things have their season, and wisdom lies in discerning the times and acting accordingly. Do right now so that you may do right when the time for rest returns again.
