On impatience

No one is patient all the time. Neither is anyone impatient all the time. But not everyone is impatient or patient in the same things or the same way or at the same time. Therefore, it behooves you to learn what sorts of things make you impatient and avoid criticising the impatience of others. For unless your impatience has its source in other people, why should their impatience bother you? And if that indeed is the root of your own impatience, then you aught to work on that by telling yourself that their business is none of your business. After all, what control do you have over others? None at all.
